The SSA Office of Employment offers employment opportunities to Social Security beneficiaries with disabilities.
Medicare
Medicare provides health insurance for people 65 years of age and older, qualifying disabled persons under 65 years
of age, and people with end-stage renal disease. If you or your spouse worked for at least 10 years in Medicare-covered
employment, are 65 years of age, and a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. then you already meet the general eligibility requirements.

Medicaid
Medicaid is health insurance that helps low income individuals and families pay for all or some of their medical bills.
This program helps assist states in providing long term medical care assistance to those who meet the
eligibility requirements. Medicaid is the largest source of funding for medical and health-related
services for low income people. Medicaid primarily helps pregnant women, children, teenagers, seniors, blind and or
disabled persons, those who are leaving welfare, low income families with children under 18 years of age, and those who cannot afford their high medical
